reversing sensors not working fabia 3

Featured Replies

Hi all,

..overall very happy with the Fabia. Owned numerous Vw before Polo estate/breadvan..to Vw golf mk4.. came over to the dark side in Sept last year.

Bought the car from Murry vw/Skoda in Plymouth. Bought with 49,000 on the clock.. a little under 3 years old..previous owner did a 100 mile a day round trip.

towbar was fitted after i had bought the car..all coded correctly...When i bought it the sensors were not working..new sensors fitted and box/pack..then its gone wrong again..the fault is when you go into reverse..it does not go beep and then radio display does change to top view of the car.

How ever if its been parked up for say 8 hours/over night..you put it into reverse there is a loud beep radio display changes for about 2 seconds..then goes back to the radio..so the faults are..

1.. does not beep when you place it in reverse

2.. display on radio does not change

3.. does not pick up /detect anything when in reverse.

4.. will work once first thing for about 2 seconds..then stays faulty all day

it has been booked in with murrays for tuesay morning..still inder warranty

Anybody else had this problem

thanks Mark in Plymouth
