My Superb occasionally vibrates when I put my foot down. It doesn't always do it however. But when it does its usually under full throttle and the whole car shakes! :S

It's a 1.9tdi 130 with 121,000 miles on it.

Any ideas?

I had a similar vibration in a Honda Accord many years ago. Most of the time, you couldn't feel a thing, but every so often, normally at motorway speeds, a vibration would set up that would shake the whole car and make the rear passenger shelf bounce up and down with a loud drumming noise.

Took forever to find it, but it turned out to be a dry inner CV joint that had lost almost all its grease. Re-greasing cured the problem.
