New LE owner.

Featured Replies

Just picked up my LE 2.0 CR with 50000 miles on the clock. Was just wondering about Cam belt change. When should it be done? And do I need to go to a specialist or will any decent garage do it okay?

I have enjoyed my first 3 days of ownership, car is great, interior is probably the best part of the car. Wheels seem to be fine, for now but I may change them, been thinking of new Audi RS6 or RS4 alloys. Anyone know what they look like on an octavia? Will keep the monzas for when I sell the car to keep the authenticity of the car.

Other plans are to remap, get spoiler re-sprayed, general tidy up, get the sat nav to upgrade the bolero and maybe get some eibach pro kit springs but not sure on springs yet? Need to see how they look on and see how low it actually goes because I can't have it to low.

Production number is 298 if anyone is interested.

Only got dealer photos at the moment but hey, crappy pictures are better than no pictures.

Thanks for reading guys!

Excellent choice, and you are quite right, the seats make it - plus having FL interior and pre FL exterior was a major plus for me.

You are good for mileage at 50K, the CR has a higher mileage cambelt interval than the PD (which is approx 80K).

However there is a blanket 4 year interval regardless of mileage so yours will be due this year, depending on which month the car was registered.

I shall get it booked in to skoda then. Thanks for the info guys. One I get some decent pictures of the car I will get them up. Only had it 3 days and its been cleaned twice lol.... Just don't want to use my iPhone to take photos as I don't think it does it justice.

Right I need some insperation on a few mods, where to start? I have wind deflectors, and I am going to order a gear stick insert from SuperSkoda, but what else?

Not sure on eibachs yet, and dont want to go to ott with it! Any preformance upgrades? Other than a remap of course.

Does decating make the dash light up like a christmas tree?
