Does anyone know if it is possible to bring up the title of a playing CD in Bolero?

I know most CDs have idents on them but so far all 6 of mine in the car are anonymous!

Mp3 format should do this. Not sure about normal CDs

No that's not possible.

The only reason this info would pop-up in say Windows Media Player or iTunes is that they connect to the internet to retrieve the info.

some CDs from companies like Sony and Columbia have got CD-Text encoded into them, which will come up on the display in the same way an mp3 track would. I had a denon system at home 10 years ago which could do it. But it's not a widespread thing and you usually only know it has CD-Text when you put the disc in. I think in a collection of 300+ CDs I maybe have a dozen which do it.

It's completely different to the systems on iTunes or WMP which use a single , different identifier to find the details on web system like GraceNote

I'll check when at home, but for example I think the George Michael greatest hits CD has a CD-Text badge amongst the other badges on the back cover

I had a Bolero and I know that both of the XX albums have CD text that displays.

You can add the track information to an audio CD that you export from iTunes but then again you might as well create an mp3 cd instead.

Totally cd dependant if they're original artist licensed & shop bought ones and not blanks that've had a mp3 tracks burnt on them.

I got a CD with the car, some special deal with Škoda and the artist. That one pops up titles nicely. So far, none of my other CD's have done that.

Nero Burning ROM used to let you add CD titles and I've successfully burned my own disks with CD Text on them.

I haven't tried this for years, and I didn't have a Bolero at the time.

Worked on the Pioneer HU I had though.
