Having RFM'd and done a search, I still find the N/S mirror will reset itself to an upwards position ie I get a view of the sky.

Is there a "trick"?

My understanding is that the left should be set first then the right. The N/S mirror should then dip when reverse is selected, how ever it just goes upwards and fails to return.

It is possible with VCDS (and maybe Maxidot) to disable the synchronised mirror movements (when right had mirror is selected on the door) if that helps.

Auto dipping mirrors on engaging reverse are only available on cars with factory fitted electric memory seats (although with enough will and money you could get it to work on any Octavia).

I don't know why you keep seeing the sky on the left or why it resets to this position. Sorry.
