Service needed?

Featured Replies

I'm not so sure, and my local dealership don't like to answer the phone, so I turn to you, oh great Briskodians to lavish me with your great knowledge. :D

Basically it says on the little screen in the car, 'service INSPEC', so it's asking for the yearly service I'm guessing.

The service history:

Date: 10/05/02

Mileage: 9634

Inspection every 12 months:

Inspection with additional work every 20k/40k/60k:

Brake fluid changed:

Toothed belt replaced (diesel engine):

Air filter element replaced:

Oil change service: yes

Next service at (miles/date): 19634/100503

Date: 31/12/02

Mileage: 19412

Inspection every 12 months: no

Inspection with additional work every 20k/40k/60k: yes

Brake fluid changed: no

Toothed belt replaced (diesel engine): no

Air filter element replaced: yes

Oil change service: yes

Next service at (miles/date): 29412/311203

Date: 11/06/04

Mileage: 29211

Inspection every 12 months: yes

Inspection with additional work every 20k/40k/60k:

Brake fluid changed:

Air filter element replaced:

Oil change service:

Next service at (miles/date): 39211/110605

Date: 20/01/05

Mileage: 31137

All blanks are as the service schedule says.

It seems to me that on the last service at 31137 miles, it wasn't reset. Is this correct and it is safe to reset it myself? I believe that the next service should be either 41137 miles or 20/01/06?

Thanks everyone, I know you guys wil respond quicker than Crawley Down Group

Yep that sounds about right. :D Bit worrying that it didn't have it's annual inspection until 30k miles though

What I'm most worried about is the lack of brake fluid changes.
