Hey guys just got an 05 octy vrs and its saying safe on the stereo...

Whats the quickest way to retrieve the code? I dont have it on any of the paperwork.

You should be able to check it with an OBDII code reader, via the cars OBDII port under the steering column. Or at least, that checks the code in the ECU.

The ECU SHOULD be connected to the stereo and you shouldn't need the code, IF it's the original stereo. Failing that, you'll have to take it somewhere to get it recoded.
