Snoopr S6R

Featured Replies

I have a Snooper S6R...has the lazer/radar detector unit.

Anyone know how I can test whether or not the lazer/radar detector unit is working properly?

No suggesting speeding in front of a mobile unit....done that....doesn't work. :(

nope only if you fire a laser into it....or by driving around by a mobile unit for a bit (should pick up something bouncing off other cars hopefully if they dont target you)

I had the S6R when it was first launched - what a piece of ****!!

I had serveral replaced because of faults with the head unit and the final straw was when the RLD filled with water. Got my money back.

Apparently a TV remote control should set them off.

Hi Ive got an Origin B2 and a Nokia6230 infra red beam will set it off (although other mobile beams don't) so if you have a mobile with that facility try it, or as previously mentioned the remotes you have in the house remember to try them all and all the buttons as they will be slightly different.

Waiting at the traffic lights you should pick up some radar. I have the same unit. Pretty impressed with it. Better than the Road Angel 1 IMHO.

Or drive through a speed camera that you know is "live" and check for the little star next to the GPS GATSO warning that shows the Snooper has picked up some radar from it. Its a small star but when you know where to look for it it's pretty easy to spot.

I've got the S4, with the Radar unit aswell... Does exactly what it says on the tin, saved my license on more than one occasion.
