Hi

I have had my octavia a week, all in all i am impressed but i have a couple of faults on the car to be expected but i thought i would ask if simple cures ?

First i have noticed that sometimes the car sticks in gear,Its not happened when driving but it happens when i have just reversed into a space.

Second the boot lock, The boot does nt lock / unlock with the central locking but the car does lock / unlock using the key in the boot lock. Also you have to slam the boot door to shut it, is the lock adjustable.

Third i was driving the car and i looked at the dash and the temp gauge needle was rising and falling, after a little while it stopped and all was fine !

By the way the car is a Skoda Ocatvia Tdi estate.

1st, change gearbox oil and reset linkages (video on youtube on how to do it) use genuine stuff else it will just make problem worse

3rd, temp sensor or thermostat (again use genuine parts as non genuine parts tend to be rubbish)
