Creating and linking a 2nd Google account?

Featured Replies

Is there an easy way to create and link a 2nd Gmail account to your main one?

Got a new device I just want access to the play store to load a few key apps, but don't want to use my main profile on it.

More something I can throw away if the need arises.

Not sure if you can link the accounts for play store. But you don't have to use the main account on the device as the one for play store. I setup a tablet for my daughter at Christmas and she has her email account and profile but I have my details (password protected) for getting play store items.

Other way is to just put your account on, get the apps, then delete the details. But this makes updating a pain.

I might be wrong but, i'm sure when i decided to give my fiancee my old htc dhd when i deleted my google details this forced a handset reset and the device would return to standard, minus any apps i had installed. i couldn't see a way round it myself as. If there is a way i'd like to hear it as would be handy to leave apps i've already paid for on the phone, but i guess google are trying to prevent that and make you buy it them again.

Well later today I'll find out if I even can, or if it's been locked down :(

Definitely possible to use a second account on Play Store.

Done it for the wife on both her tablet and her phone - she has her Gmail account on both as primary - I just added my account within the play store and set it as default for that app only
