Hi all

Anyone tell me where the cam sensor is located. Ive taken the intercooler hose off and cam cover and cant seem to locate it. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Found it.

If your changing it, there will be a rubber bung you pull out to let the sensor to fit through.

Also don't drop anything down where the belt goes. That small bung or any of the small screws is enough to kill your whole engine if it drops between the pully and belt.

I placed a small towel there just in case lol

K after having replaced the sensor ive run it a few days and replugged back into vagcom and the cam sensor fault is coming back after clearing? Anyone else had this?

I just replaced it.

Did it solve your problem then?

Its helped it starting a bit but still seems out on timing and code pings up as same as before
