Window control module?

Featured Replies

Hi,

The electric windows on my vRS have failed.

The dealer has dianosed a faulty window control module.

Can anyone tell me are these built are into the window switch or seperate?

Many thanks

Your dealer either means the door control module which is integral with the window motor or the convenience control unit which is between the heater box and clutch pedal.

If it was the convenience control would the central locking stop working aswell?

Do both the windows stop working if the drivers side conrtol module stops working?

I believe both windows do stop working as the passenger control is routed through the drivers

We have just fixed one today with the same problem.

i found the damaged wire/ loom between the driver door and the body just before the connector inside that black flexi cover.

just reconnected and it is ready to go.

The drivers window motor is a control unit for both windows
