Yes mate, faulty injector. Number 3 I think... Was a fair while ago that was sorted now. Drove it standard for ages after repair then started to get the itch to make it a little more personal.

Small update, collected some wheels this weekend [emoji106] little bit different to the normal route but perfect for the ideas I have for the car. Dropping them off to be powder coated tomorrow, will update here with pics when they're back...

The calipers are now all built up ready to go, this is definitely a job worth taking on for an experienced diy'er...

There are a few videos on YouTube worth watching before doing it, and I would recommend grabbing a m10x1.0 tap to re-cut the threads for the bleed screws and line feed, once re-cut all of the bleed screws went in by hand and a little smear of copper grease will help prevent any seizing in the future.

Allow for an hour or so to strip the callipers, and around the same for the rebuild. I got the new seals, dust boots, and bleed screws all from eBay, ECP have genuine Porsche pad fitting kits in stock. Callipers were chemical stripped and powder coated by City Powder Coaters, Digbeth, Birmingham. They charge £25-30 per pair of calipers if you supply them stripped.

Should be fitting these in a few days, will update with pics.

Just a note, I did chip a calliper during rebuild, but anyone thinking about having their callipers refurbished, the finish is actually pretty much perfect, particularly for the money!

Me and a few mates are going to the Nurburgring on May 1st. Got to get the brakes on, and a full set of pollybushes fitted before then and a full allignment.

Then when I get back, practicality is going out the window, the keen eye may have already spotted I've ditched the vrs leathers and fitted a cloth elegance trim that I won for a £1.

This is not for keeps, but just to allow me to sell the rs trim and keep the car family friendly. The cloth trim will be going free to a good home when I get back [emoji6]

Brakes are on. Went for ferodo pads, first impressions are staggering. The difference in feel and initial bite is frightening.

Been a busy boy ready for a trip to the Nurburgring on Friday.....

Pollybushed the entire underside of the car front and rear. ECP got me the bushes for a considerable amount less than they are available on eBay.

This is not by any shot, a nice job...... Very heavy work and extremely time consuming. With most bushes seized solid and having to be cut and chiseled out.

Obviously after refitting the subframes, the wheels were pointing at all angles! So.....

Front camber is showing -1.5 on both sides

Rear camber set to -2.0 as the cars use will now be solely for fast road/ track...

So what difference do they make,

Well the car feels more stable in higher speed corners, and much more composed over uneven surfaces which I didn't expect!

I think the mk5 platform can feel particularly floaty/jiggly when pushed at speed, the change in bushes really has made a vast improvement, making the car feel far lighter than it is.

It's a modification I would certainly recommend, but only if you intend to keep the car for a considerable time, to justify the cost and effort, neither of which being small.
