horn short to groud after CCS retrofit

Featured Replies

Hi All,

yesteday I add a new stalk with CCS on it (1K0953513G) and replaced the steering wheel contol unit with an one with CCS and multifunctional support (1K0 953 549 G).

when i start codding the control unit my horn started to play constantly. after turn-off tunr-on the ignition the system disabled the horn after 3-5 seconds.

does anyone can help me with this issue? is this a codding issue or mechanical, wiring problem?

here is the codding and the fault code of the steering wheel control unit:

what was you original slip ring and controller?

have you added mfsw?

I left them in the car, so I'll check tomorrow, but they was without MFSW and CCS.

I did not install MFSW, because the one I tryed to install was hooked and the airbag did not fit in it. i took all the parts from a crashed car and it seems that the SW was damaged during the impact.

so now i'm with the non-MFSW.
