sports cat

Featured Replies

Hi I have a Octavia vrs 1.8t and a friend of mine has offered me a 200 cell sports cat. The car is completely standard is it worth me getting it. The clutch is going to be done next week (vr6/g60). I am not planning on having it remapped as its a lot of money and the car has done 100,000 miles. If it is still worth getting and I fit it will I have problems with the lumber sensor bringing up the engine management light. Many thanks.

If the sports cat is a full downpipe and cat then a worth while upgrade to the std restrictive downpipe / cat that the VRS has.

You should have no lambda sensor issues with the sport cat (lumber lol) sorry made me laugh...

Don't be put off mapping a 100,000 mile VRS , engines are strong and have lot's of life left in them if looked after.

Mine is on 143,000 now with a stage 2 map and going strong..

I think it is it has a flange on one end will the car still run well with it on with out a remap as I won't have the money for that. Many thanks and sorry about my spelling .

Really isn't any point unless you're doing it as part of removing restrictions from exhaust system

Get an ebay special decat and cut it and get the sports cat welded in it
