Hi,

Reading a report recently that the VW group cars 1.4 Tsi petrol engines has a turbo and a supercharger and I am wondering if my 2011 Superb 1.8 TSI is the same, and if so what kicks in first, turbo or supercharger?

Also has anyone tried Slick 50 PTFE oil additive in these engines whether it help protects the turbo etc... http://www.slick50.com/ourProducts/syntheticEngineTreatment.shtml

Your car isn't twincharged, it only has a turbocharger.

Only the highly tuned ones fitted to 'GT' type specs. have turbo charger and supercharger. The 1.4TSi in the Superb is also turbo only (but engineered in such a way as to give lots of low down torque)

The "S" in "TSI" in this instance refers to "stratified" not "supercharger".
