Vrs heater matrix HELP

Featured Replies

Hi Folks

Hope someone can help .

Has anyone replaced heater matrix and if so could you please give me any info/tips as how you did it.

Had a wee look at Haynes and it states that it can be removed in situ but also states most of the dash needs to come out .

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'd of thought the dash does mate. Every heater matrix I've done the dash has come out so I'd be surprised if this is any different

the glove box and centre console come out pretty quickly / easily if thats all that needs removing

As mentioned you need to remove the glove box and centre dash, so stereo, asr switch and heated switch have to come out

I'm taking the heater switch out in the morning so will let you know how easy it is :)

Ok mate I'll do my very best and take all the switches out etc :)

For removing the asr switches etc i just removed the radio first and pushed them out from behind, seemed to work ok.

Exactly as you said lol

Just removed all my lower dash last night. Comes out easy enough.

Follow the guide as dark hero posted, then the links through that. Very easy to do tbh, probably around an hours work in total. The fiddlesticks ones are the 4 screws underneath the heater panel, kind of above the ash tray.

You will need a small Torx screw driver or even a wratchet connection as there isn't enough room in some cases to get a screw driver in :)
