Side indicators not working

Featured Replies

Can anyone help with my polo. The side indicators which are on the wing mirrors are both not working. It's strange as the other ones work fine. I can't see them both deciding not to work at once so I'm thinking maybe a wiring problem? Any help is appreciated :)

If they're anything like the Skoda's it's not uncommon for them to collect water and damage the LEDs (assuming they're LEDs) one might have failed a while ago and you'd not noticed. Unless you check your lights weekly like you're supposed to. ;)

Thanks for the reply. :) I'm going to dismantle one of the wing mirrors to see if I can see anything obviously wrong. I am suspecting it to be the leds but just didn't think that they'd both stop working at the same time. - on the polo, as the indicators are on the mirror, you can see them flashing whilst driving. I knew pretty much instantly that they weren't working. It's really annoying, when something goes wrong like this, I normally just search and a person has previously had the same problem but can't find anything on this :-/ thanks for the help! :)
