Talking of the MK111 , just had two invites to the launch at local dealers, Trust Skoda, Stourbridge and Autosales, Bilston stating the launch days are 16th-17th March.

For what it's worth I think the MK111 looks really sharp.

My dealers starts on Friday 15th, I have test-drives booked for 10am.

I've got my test drive booked for next saturday, but despite having put my details into the Skoda website asking to be kept updated and having owned two Octavias before, I've had to contact a dealer myself.

I've not had anything sent from Skoda....

Shame, I couldn't wait for the vRS. Just bought an S4

I have to keep my 320 for another 2 years before I can change.

Got my invite from Royce Roberts. I may well head up to take a look but I am waiting on the vRS as a possible trade in to mine...but it will have to be bloody good!

Just had an invite from Simpsons,16~17th, even though the Octy estate I just ordered from them isn't due to be built until the 18th.

ha, i got four! 2 from mitchels ?? and one each from alex lawrie and Lightcliffe skoda. A purely Skoda mail drop today!

I only really mentioned the invites as there seemed to be several variations on the launch dates, as there still seems to be. I might pop along but having spend a lot of money recently on my MK 1, I'm not really in the market for a new car. I actually prefer them when they are about three months.

I got 5 invites in the post yesterday, that's how much of a dealer whore I am :|

Just had the one, from West End Garage, but they're not doing it at our local site, just the two new ones (ex Chatham) in Dunfermline and Edinburgh. The original site has now had the skoda branding removed and just does servicing and second hand cars. It's either a 30 or a 50 mile round trip to the new sites so I'll be giving it a miss.Not changing after 18 months so I'd pop in if it was local but I'm not going to go on a trek to see one, I'll just hang arond the taxi rank til one shows up

You might not want to change your car, but lots of families have more than one vehicle.

Better for the dealer to send out a few extra invites rather than assume you won't be interested and lose a sale.

Got mine today from West Sussex Skoda in Worthing.

I've had nothing.

Not surprising as all I've ever had from the dealer from the moment I ordered the car was one phone call saying cars in UK come in and sign the paperwork.
