Wheres the comeradery?

Had my car for 7 weeks or so now and have seen (remarkably) only 2 fabia vRS's and no Octy's. This must change. I want some friendly waving/banter when I take a grand trip to Kent this weekend. My trip will be something like this - say Hi if you see me! :D

Poole

A31

M27

M3

M25

M26

M20

A20

A28

Kent

Cal

Thats what I like to hear!

So far I've been driving mine for more than half a year and only knowingly seen 2 briskoda peeps on the road - Fab16v cos he lives a few miles away (saw him this evening as it happens, alright mate!) and Roo because he kindly assisted me with his VAG-COM

Saw a few at the pod for the GTI spring festival though

How many briskodians are there around the north london / herts area???

Wave as you go past Maidstone.

There are sometimes traffic cops hidden at either end of the M26. Whenare you travelling?

Thursday rush hour and back Sunday evening...

Cheers for the shout out about Police. I am generally terrified by police so am a legal driver most of the time. But it is nice to go way above sensible on clear road (when I can kill only myself) and it doesnt take 5 minutes to get there... Unlike my old Citroen ZX TD!

M25 has a few cameras on it to watch your speed, the are hidden in the overhead gantery (sp? & is that the correct term? ) Also traffic is bad usually

It's possible you might see me in Watford on friday evening and Monday morning when pick up/dropping off SWSBO

Evening rush hour on M25 anticlock can be a bit grim on the southern section but generally nowhere near as bad as on a Friday night; same applies to where the M26 joins the M20 and for a few miles there.

Beware M25 junc 5 where you take the M26 as you actually just keep going straight on (and leave the main carriageway to stay on the M25). Sounds confusing but it's well signposted with plenty of warning.

Also the roundabout at junc 10 off the M20 can get pretty jammed too.

Thanks....

I'll wave if I see you round and about in Kent :D

On cameras etc - try the Kent Safety Camera site which gives you details of all fixed cameras and also locations of mobile ones round and about the county for specific times / dates

Edit: always seem to see loads of Skodas including RSs on the M20 so you might be lucky!

I'd recommend coming off the M3 at J10 and taking the A31 through Alton to Guilford and then pick up the A3 for the M25. A31 is a lovely fast road with very little traffic on it and plenty of overtaking opportunities should you come across any. When I used to go over to Kent on a Friday, it would shave 30-40 mins off the journey time :D

Cheers, will do. A31 is a nice road, dual carriageway so plenty of overtaking but also lots of turns and hills to keep the boredom at bay!

Cal

A31 is a nice road but be careful of the bumps, some are a little decieving and can catch you out if you are doing silly speed and don't know the road.
