ETKA request: fabia dogbone mount/bushes

Featured Replies

Can someone with etka please find something out for me?

im after a diagram with part numbers of the dogbone mount and associated bushes for the Fabia.. (specifically the RS, but i *think* that they are the same on all the tdi models - again anyone who can confirm this would be good)

also anyone who has any pictures with the dogbone in clear detail would help too :)

cheers.

Colin, I may be able to help you later on today (can nip into skoda dealer on the way back from work) ;)

Hi I checked this out yesterday.

The part number is 6Q0199555K

Fits also the Cordoba

But that is the standard part number

interesting indeed.

id like to take a look at one of these close up.

wonder what the difference (if any) is.

6Q0199555K is the upper left gearbox/engine mount and not the dogbone mount.

The engine dogbone mount is number 22 in the picture above and the correct part number for the ASZ (engine code for Fabia vRS) is: 6Q0 199 851 N (no maybes here Neo:-), verified info only).

The dogbone mount is the same for all the PD engines, but since only the ASZ & BPX (Ibiza Cupra TDi) share the exact same number I suspect the stiffness of the bushes are different across the range.

Ahh, now it becomes clear... watch this space ;)

Okayeee??? :D -I'm watching

BTW: It's called a dogbone mount because (obviously) of the shape on other models Golf, Leon, Octavia etc...But the shape and design for the newer Ibiza, Fabia, Polo subframe has changed so it doesn't really look like a dogbone anymore :D

Anyone got any idea how much one of these is gonna cost me?

I'm watching too! :D

btw.. moving this to the fabia forum now

I would guess somewhere around

BTW i think id point out that the vRS dogbone mount is different to all other Fabia ones due to the fact thats its the only Fabia with the 6 speed gearbox so the dogbone is a different fitment.

Sounds like I should get a new one as well.... 6 speed box onto a 5 speed dogbone

mount... Thanks for the part number, shall ring my dealer in the morning.

God bless Briskoda and all its wonderful info. Wouldn't have been able to even attempt this little conversion without its assistance along the way. :)

You're both right and wrong because they all come with a fitting link from the actual dogbone to the gearbox. Swap the links and you will have no problem fitting a Fabia vRS dogbone mount to the 110 PD...

It's all part of VAGs strategy to keep the production line as simple as possible.

110 PD?

iirc isnt the dog bone a single bit though? It bolts directly into the bottom of the gearbox.

Sorry meant 100 PD.

Look at the picture posted above. It's no. 22 in the picture. The metal bracket has one bolt going through the front bush. If you look close enough you'll see two small wholes in the bracket. These are for the two bolts mounting it to the lower side of the gearbox.

It might be hard to see in the picture, but that's how it's put together.

Hmmm, if I could be as5ed I'd whip my car onto a jack, remove the engine cover and take a photo. I think Col sent me a photo on MSN but it wasn't all that clearly dogbone specific. :)

I wonder.

True enough there does apprear to be two parts to the dog bone. But however you cant get them seperately so Jason would still need to get a new complete mount.

I know but my point was that it's no problem fitting a dogbone mount from the 6-speed to the 5-speed just change the brackets.

But the upper left gearbox/engine mount is another story...

Besides I've just visited Neo's similar post on Seatcupra.net and from now on it's no longer a "dogbone mount"....It's a CHICKEN LEG (credit to Cordobabrendy on Seatcupra.net) mount because of the new and odd shape...:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

which brackets? I looked on the ETKA piccie and am no closer to knowing. :D

My engine didn't come with anything remotely dogbone mount related (except the 6 speed box that'll bolt to it) so assume I need a 6 speed mount? Something I never thought about before, but if its only

Aha - Nice one! Is the "bracket" bit the one which is different for five speed/six speed boxes? If so, I could probably get away with just a new one of them, and replacement bushes for the rest (if they're the same ones as on Forge website)
