You need to clear the check engine light with a code reader or vag com as the fault will be stored in memory. How much was the new maf and where from? Ecp quoted me 125 quid earlier

I Think it will go out after a few miles, but the code will stay until cleared

Genuine VAG MAF from TPS is about £70 exchange.

Do not buy an aftermarket MAF as they rarely work for long or properly.

I paid £40 for a cough quality cough MASTERPRO one from ECP. You can get the bosch one for £80ish from them as well. If it goes/when it goes i will get the bosch now i know its the culprit.

As is the case with most of the VAG engine sensors. Buy cheap, buy twice.
