as suggested above did a search and had a good read threw them have the door card off the other back door now as its starting to act up now too. gonna try get the other off now too hopefully without breaking any clips

just wondering if people think the problem is faulty microswitch as covered in bowders sticky or could it be a range of problems...

basically the door locked someetimes and eventually deadlocked shut

Soak it with WD40 when you get it open. Mine has done this a couple of times and WD keeps it working for another 12 months.

Managed to get mine to open by hitting the outside handle whilst operating the remote.

I sprayed it into the slot where the catch on the body would go. I managed to get mine open without taking the door trim off.

presume I can't 'break' the door open though. don't wanna end up with a door that looks as if the lads have been practicing their car jacking on it..

I have the door card off but door is still dead locked. is there any way to manually tug a wire or part of lock asm to get the flippin door to open!?!?

so much for when one door closes another opens for u :o

you have to smash it out

Skoda mechanic aggrees with u on that one or at least the parts guy said same

€131 for the new lock. is that bout what u guys pay in UK??

Maybe worth having a look at the wires where they enter the door? You can inspect them by opening the front door. If one has snapped that could be your problem

its getting access thats the problem, you have to basically break the lock mech out, from the inside of the car! its a pain, but doable! Did you fix it?
