Not Yorkshire, but I had mine fitted by Shark Performance in Mansfield.

Another for Sultas they know what they are doing

I questioned my dealer, firstly asked when i booked a service, the guys gave me a call after booking having spoke to the master tech, and was said that he would like to play about with the standard vehicle electronics.

When i went to drop my car in, i asked again as it was another staff member, took some time going through the parts catalouge, and quoted around £350-£500(somewhere in between there, cant remember figure), That was for parts and 2.5hrs labour. But he was unsure if another expensive electrical component was required, and was also unsure if it was able to be fitted to my car, due to manufactuer date.

I also have the 1.6 TDi CR 2012 (SE Connect)

Be good if i can get it done as doing 20k a year, 75% motorway miles.

The Skoda accessory brochure shows from £180 fitted and shows all models available.

My local dealer are wanting £450 fitted they say no kit available from Skoda yet for my car so would have to be an aftermarket kit. Think I will give it a miss for now.

I would take what they said for gospel.

It should be as easy as buying the stalk, fitting it and telling the car its got cruise. Thats what people do in the pre fL mk2's

it is a bit more complicated with the facelift

as there are two different types

also on some cars you need to change the ignition barrel switch and lock

My car is a 2011MY facelift version. Shark initially thought that the steering wheel lock would need changing - but it didn't - and TPS didn't help by supplying the wrong stalk initially based on the car's VIN. Fortunately the steering wheel control module catered for cruise control else changing that would have made the job significantly more expensive.

The best advice I can give is to have cruise control fitted by someone who has done it already and knows the wrinkles involved.

I have done in my 2011FL at home last week and it took me not more than 30mins.... Most of the FLs have cruise control wire(black & white) running from pin5 of steering module to the engine.... Mine had it factory fitted. For your FL you need to check the steering module part No. I have installed 5K0953569H steering module which supports CCS and MFSW and also the suitable CCS lever. Afterwards you just need to code the engine and steering module to activate it through VCDS.... If you want I can guide you with that.....
