Polo GTI TSI

Featured Replies

Not so much as a project, but we have started to mod our 2010 Polo Gti.

The car started as a standard polo no mods at all. The previous owner had done a poor job of painting the wheels and mirror caps in black.

So after fitting the RCD 510 unit and tidying up the interior. We had the idea of a blue/white exterior colour scheme.

Many turned their noses up intially when we told them, but we did it any way.

Wheels had to be stripped & refurbed & painted to our colour. This was the first hurdle. Car was off the road for nearly 2 weeks & when I recieved the wheels, they we not the correct colour. So then we had them painted again this time the correct colour, the mirror caps were also done to match.

Still there were some who didn't agree with the colours, but we liked it :) but it did sit too high.

The next thing to do was lower it, we used Bilstein B14 coilovers for this.

The Bilsteins are an excellent product and surprisingly comfortable, as far as coilovers go!!

This changed the whole look of the car, but something still needed doing, there was something that didn't quite look right.

Anyway we decided to add a stripe & colour code the red GTI Grille stripes. This is where we are at so far. Many people seem to have changed their opinions now.

What do you think???

I like it when people do something a bit different. Looks good.

Like it! I noticed the blue grille piping as well, nice touch. Certainly an eye catcher for your business. Have you been fortunate with oil consumption issues?

Those DRL xenons

Nice, I think a caliper paint change would make it look better, either white or blue :)

The oil consumption has been closely monitored with no issues as of yet, touch wood

We have been considering the caliper colour, again the choices were as you mentioned Josh either white or blue, the problem is white doesn't stay clean!!

We may have to match a high temp blue paint as most blue high temp paints would clash :)

Hm yeah good points, there's always black for slightly more stealth.

Or blue carrier white calipers lol ;)
