Normal Boost Readings

Featured Replies

Hope you guys are doing fine. I am from India and this is my first post on this forum.

I have recently acquired a 2002 Octavia 1.9 Tdi Ambiente. It has 110k on the odo. The car had a train like pulling power untill a few days ago when the car engine suddenly stalled at the low speed. I was able to start the car again but the car struggled to pull after this incident.

The car stalled 2 to 3 times after this incident and was able to restart the car again. While checking I discovered that the air intake pipe coming from air filter was cut. I replaced the pipe and air filter. The performance improved but not like it had before.

The car pulls good after 2500 RPM but it feels very sluggish before that. I tried reading fault codes using Torque pro android application, there was no fault code logged. The app showed a boost reading of 0.1 psi at idle and around 3-4 psi at 2000 RPM. The maximum reading was 10.1 psi at 3200 RPM. Do you guys feel these are normal readings? Please help me guys I am really frustrated by this.
