About a week after I bought my Octy vRS it seem to develope a rattle / squeek in the rear. After many months of trying to pin it down I have discovered that it is the plastic internal trim on the tailgate. I am a little confused as how the trim fixes on, I think it may slide on, if that is the case how do you keep it tight? Has anybody got a clue how to tighten it or cure for the rattle? Does anybody else have the same problems?

It is VETY tight.

I would imagine that the reat trim has been taken off at some point to have the rear washer pipe clipped back in to place.

There may be a clip rattling on the inside of the trim.

Agreed with this prognosis, but if you think its hard getting it off, wait 'til you try to put the trim panel back on - I tried it with the tailgate open and a great deal of patience is needed. You might well find it easier to reattach by closing the hatch and sitting inside the boot space and work at it that way - there are loads of locating springy clip things to attach.

Exact same problem. Rear washer not working so removed trim to sort it out. I have tried three times to get it back on properly - unsucessfully. A fact which I am reminded of by a new rattle. I will give sitting in the boot with tailgate closed though.
