Does anyone know if a boost leak could cause uneven idle. Also would timing affect boost?

Edited by cjaycouper

I would say yes to both...check boost hoses arnt split etc and a decent garage to check you timing..

I hoped this was the case as I had a new cambelt and waterpump and the cars just not the same the turbo is not as strong (possibly boost leak) and when idling the revs go up every few seconds about 100 rpm. Also a drop of mpg by about 10

Check for boost leaks yourself mate a garage will charge a fait bit as sometimes it can be a long job...but personally I would say its your timing that's out if they have just replaced the belt..
