I've got a white vRS with all the black bits. Noticed today I've got a small chip on the black roof and it is showing through white.

Does anyone know if the touch up paint for this is the black magic or something different?

Black magic , had same on my monte ..

Likewise noticeable deep chip on the front edge in the first week of ownership :S

Fortunately had some black magic touch up from a previous Octy II in that colour, which was a perfect match.

Further to this, a while ago I bought a touch up pen from skoda (candy white) however it didn't come with any lacquer like others have in the past.

Is this due to the white being a non metallic colour? am I right in thinking there is still a need to apply a lacquer when touching up these chips in the white paint?

The lacquer appears to be part of the paint with the white but the Skoda touch up pen I have is awful; like treacle even if you warm it up and just leaves a messy blob. Intend to try some of the above instead.
