does this pipe look dodgy (PICS)

Featured Replies

replacing my grill today and having a look around as I needed to make sure my intercooler sensor was going to be easy to get out, and I happened to notice this pipe that looks a bit dodgy

I am getting a shark remap in the next few weeks so will be getting all these N249, 112's, SAI and Second lamba mapped out,

but not sure if this pipe is anything to do with the above or should I get it investigated..

I'm in Co Durham, I had already checked for local Shark mappers, and there wasnt any close, So I purchased a STS box to do it at home, wasn't my 1st choice, but after reading reviews Shark was my 1st choice of map so had to go for the next best option...

Okay miles away lol if you feel like a weekend away I can put you up ;-)

Come see Windsor or Lego land lol

not too bad then, providing it doesn't find anything that needs replacing..

Watch out for that high pressure PAS pipe bursting! Mine did: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/192247-burst-power-steering-hose-aaargg/page__hl__+power%20+steering%20+burst#entry2299352

The pipe is about £140, so not a cheap fix unfortunately. All the part numbers and details are in the link above.

I'd carry a couple of bottles of PAS fluid in the car just in case it does let go.

Good luck with it and enjoy the Shark map!

well Good news and bad news today... Passed my MOT with flying colours, not even an advisory

so thought I would go and treat the car to a smoke test, (after finally finding a garage that does them)

I have a leak on the pipe that goes upto the crankcase breather hose.. I think I damaged it myself to be honest when I was changing the crankcase breather hose..

it looks like its only the top part of the pipe that's damaged, could I get some silicone of the right size and just put that over the top of the pipe and then back into the crankcase breather, or would I have to replace the whole pipe ?
