Who makes your MAF? (VRS)

Featured Replies

Hi All

Can anyone with an ASZ Fabia kindly do me a favour? Can you have a look at your MAF (assuming it’s the original) and tell me if it’s stamped with the typical VW, Audio logo or instead with Bosch?

I have a Bosch one and I’m trying to work out if it’s the original or replacement. (Fuel economy suffering so looking into MAF and EGR as possible culprits) VCDS readings seem normal and as It's Bosch, Im thinking it's probably not the original?

Thanks!

mines a 2004 fab vrs and just to be awkward mine is stamped bosch but also has the skoda , vw and audi logos stamped on it too

BOSCH are the OEM for these aren't they? I know they are for the BMW, and pretty sure it was on my Golf too.

Ahh thanks for the info guys!

I just replaced mine with a Bosch one, works fine.

Bosch is the manufacturer of the orignal MAF sensors

If you need a replacement you can get them for eurocarparts with a 25% off promotion code and also a surcharge for old unit!

I got one for £61 this way! :)

Carparts4less could be worth a shout too - the sister firm of ECP. Think you'll only get 10% off an order of that value though.

Odd they wanted an exchange unit, they didn't went I ordered my last one. :wonder:

Readings seem fine. Peaks at about 1100 at 2200RPM dropping down after. I'm thinking its probably a gunked up EGR causing lower MPG.

Out of interest what brand did eurocarparts supply as they don't list a BOsch one

Yeah i ordered it online on click and collect entered 25% discount code and collected it 20mins later?

I'm suspecting the same problem too :/ I am suffering lower MPG figures over the last 2 months and suspect it to be either the EGR valve or the MAF. Might just replace the EGR with a delete and then replace the MAF.
