Featured Replies

I have done a search to see if anything similar has been started.

Is there anyone out there whos has;

A. Been to the 'ring

B. What car/setup

C. Did you record your lap time?

D. What was your best time?

Interested in all cars/times really but more specifically the MK1 Fabia vRS.

dont want to sound like a **** here but if you was going to travel all the way to germany to go round the nurburgring why would you want to do it in a skoda diesel ?

As much as i love my vrs but really if you was to go all that way you would want to borrow/hire a proper car sports car to do the lap in

May sound daft to some people doing the Ring in a skoda diesel.

7 mins!!!!

Thats quick.

A. Been to the 'ring - YES, FOUR TIMES

B. What car/setup - THE MONGREL

C. Did you record your lap time? - SORT OF

D. What was your best time? - 9 MINS FLAT

I think basically if you go there for the sole aim to set a lap record, you will crash. Simples. First trip for me was 15 laps to try and learn the track - I still don't now, and that's after a 4th trip recently. Go to enjoy it, enjoy the surroundings and the spectating.

I've got a standard 2.0L Fabia and I currently hold the lap record...

Went last year after remap, standard suspension and did 10 min lap..oh and then met sabine shmitz...result!!

Why not do both :giggle: ?

I plan on taking mine round the ring eventually when funds allow.

I would love to go sometime and stop off at Spa circuit on the way past. I would definietly be up for a Briskoda trip to the ring! And why not in a Fabia VRS, you would use very little fuel getting there, still have enough poke to enjoy the track and have some fun and spend some time chilling out and spectating afterwards, perfect! :D

A. Been to the 'ring

B. N/A - on foot!

C. Did you record your lap time? - Yes

D. What was your best time? 5 hours 52 minutes, Full Nordscleife GP circuit. Deep snow & VERY cold

Oh, and we went via Spa, 3-up on a Vincent outfit.

Oh hang on do you mean the GP track?

Been going to the ring for 14 years making 3-4 trips a year.

Best time is 9 mins dead @17mpg

Started renting a Suzuki swift last year due to being insured. It's just too risky these days.
