i've been lurcking on your wonderful forum for a while, and have already gleaned a great deal of useful information. Spot on lads (and lassies).

I bought a 12 plate Octy Estate on SE spec and loved it. I had the car for a whole 4 weeks before I stuffed it into a bridge, on the return home from a snowy nightshift. Fail. So that was the newest motor I'd ever owned then - Total loss. Brilliant! I can perhaps offer a rare piece of consumer testing, the Octavia crashes extremely well! Air bags deployed, even the passenger one did, owing I suppose to the bottle of juice that was sitting on it at the time!

Anyhoo! I have now ordered an new one (again!) and taken the opertunity for up spec from SE to Elegance, I was really missing my cruise and the arm rest is nice too. Also the motor looks better with front fogs IMHO.

Anway, I don't usually manage to keep anything long with out messing with it so i'm looking forwards to getting to know some of you in the future. I'm already looking for a VCDS!

Heres some photos of the old one for you delight! The second is the courtesy car they gave me. What was a bootful in the Octy now a bit of a joke in "the lunch box"!
