h&r springs

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if there is any difference between the h&r 35mm lowering springs no 29767-2 non vrs and the proper vrs springs. I've found some on eBay and they are a fair bit cheaper than the proper vrs ones. Even my maths tells me if they take a non vrs down 35mm mine should drop 20mm?

I would think they will be rated differant to the vrs ones

vRS is 26mm lower than a standad Octavia. Not sure where this 15mm figure came from. Even side by side you can see an inch difference.

Just had an answer off the seller this morning saying they are not suitable for my car. It could be the weight rating I suppose but they were listed for a Octy 1.8 t non vrs. I would have thought they were the same. They were £50 cheaper than vrs ones it was just an idea

The H&R VRS 20mm springs are specifically for the VRS and rated correctly.

But sadly not recommended with standard shocks? I've looked at h&r springs with koni shocks and needed a sit down! Not cheap.

Not recommended with standard shocks no, but people do run them with standard shocks and don't have too many issues.

Konis or bilsteins do seem the best and most favoured option with the h&r's. There are very few other options i believe however Damian above is a great help and may be able to offer you something else!

I run h&r springs with Koni adjustables, find them really good.

love my h and r's :)
