Just seen this offer at Eurocarparts. The 4 litre (stupid size though) is now £29.99 and I think this is compatible with the Skoda diesel engines

Why do Castrol sell in 4 litre containers, when it usually takes nearly 5 litres for an oil change?

Garland skoda use this oil for diesels as there longlife oil for longer intervals, they probably sell as 4ltr to get you to buy the extra litre.

I have this oil in my pd170 works a treat.

1.9 TDI PD engine takes 3.8 litres with filter change, so enough for an oil change.

Cheers Mike, I always assumed thay took a bit more. I have a full 5 litres of Shell Helix Ultr, so I don't need any more at the moment, but I thought some folks may like some at this price.

Just tried that code, it works in capitals/upper case but not in lower case!

Curiously, it also works when used against Shell helix? Which might work out a better deal since it's 5 litres.

If you can access a Costco they are doing it for £24.

Most 1.9TDI engines I've known take at least 4.3 Litres . Even my daughters 1.4TDI Polo takes 4.3 Litres. My Golf 1.6TDI takes 4.3 litres.

I buy my 507 spec oil from Hafords ( 5 litres) with a trade card - much cheaper than the 4 litre containers. ASDA have recently increased their price for 507 spec Castrol Edge 4L to £37 was £35).
