Finally bought one

Featured Replies

After months of looking me and the mrs went for a long drive to pick up our new vrs.Its a 2006 race blue with fsh except the timimg belt need sorting but the price reflected this i think.IT needs a new set of matts ,both electric window switches in the front as for some reason they are very tatty and the drivers doorcard is not the best..Its got the jumbo box,cd multichanger, factory sunroof etc the only thing i dont like are the 17 inch wheels but will hopefully have this problem sorted asap........After the mk1 vrs which was low miles and mint this car is still miles nicer to drive.all in all am chuffed to bits with it :):)

Sounds nice. Congrats!

Get some pics up

Race blue. Best colour :)

^^^ +1 pleased you're happy with it. Having to do the timing belt's no bad thing because at least you'll know for sure it's been done.

Enjoy

Thats what i thought,ta mate

You're welcome,

It's nice to see someone post some good news!

If you've got the space you could keep the 17's and stick some winter tyres on them before next autumn too. If you don't want them you could advertise them in the spares section as no doubt someone would bite your hand off to use them for the same reason.

cheers

Have some 18s lined up,are the 17s worth much as we dont use the car much so may as well sell them tbh

Get some winters on them and a tyre tree.

You uk boys are obsessed with winter tires lol in Ireland we use the same tires all year round :)

I don't have any, I manage well enough on my 18" rubber bands

Potholes, now this is a good enough reason to stick with the 17's!

I'm vain though and need the 'willy waving' credentials offered by 18's :giggle:
