1.9tdi 75k 07 plate. Judder or mis fire when running down the Motorway

Featured Replies

Just got my wifes car up and running after it's reshape of the front end shall we say..

So our first drive down the road was yesterday and all round town it's great no issues. HOWEVER!!

once on the motorway I slowly gained speed not thrashing it just steady increase and as i got to 60 it was ok but then as you get to 70 it starts to judder like a misfire.

So I kept it steady at 60 all the way home and all is well BUT that misfire is there still this morning when you put your foot down

So it's not chucking black smoke out the back it's clean nothing coming out..

at low revs around town it's perfectly smooth car

it only shows it self as a miss fire/judder when you increase the speed and say 40mph and with you pushing it along..

I have looked up on google and I have a range of solutions

One was to say the Turbo pipes have a leak ( it has a refurbed Turbo fitted in the last 5 months 3 months sat still BTW )

The wire loom to the injectors is a common issue and can show faults. PD engine right?

EGR valve?? don't know much about them

DMF Clutch going but why so smooth round town

injectors ( normaly VERY reliable in all honesty I have not heard of them going to be honest )

Mass Air flow meter ( in my book they are like fuses they either work or they don't )

Any one had this???

Fuel filter, possibly?

Fuel filter, possibly?

Worth changing it. Also put some injector cleaner in too.
