Changing Maxi Dot from KM to MPG?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Now that we have taken delivery of our My13 Monte (Pics to follow) I have changed some of the factory coding.

Set to all doors unlock on one press, auto lock @ 15km & auto unlock on ignition off, I also removed the seatbelt warning.

I tried coding the dash for Australia to see if it would convert the KM display into MPH but it didn't, it only changed the mileage cover into KM. I also noted that the factory dash coding has the screen wash low level warning switched off.

Anybody know how I can get my Maxi Dot to read MPH & if the car already has the screen wash level sensor fitted so I can switch it on?

Cheers

Ewan.

Should be able to change the mph to Australia or they've done something to fix ?, no washer sensor I think

Coding to Australia works on the Superb MK2 and Octavia, maybe it does not work on the new clusters.

EU type approval requires the car to always show KMH and MPH for the UK, maybe they have got wise to this now and disabled the switch by using different software in the cluster for UK.

Maybe they've worked out Australia hasn't used MPH since the 70's. :wonder:

I'll have another look at all the coding options next time I have the car hooked up, see if there is anything I can try that might change this reading, depending on seating/steering position I feel that speedo visablity can be poor at times and would just prefer the reading to be mph anyway.

Not to mention the speedo jump from 80-100, which is misleading, to say the least.

I have my speed warning at 90mph in case I overdo things.
