Relay For Aux Coolant Pump

Featured Replies

So, last night Gti Jazz Blue ran VCDS for me on my Octy (thanks for that!) and coded my Columbus in and changed a few settings that I can't do myself due to no Maxi Dot.

Anyhow, during the initial scan, and again after clearing the faults the following error was observed:

We believe that this is to do with a pump that cools the turbo after the ignition has been turned off and I'm obviously going to take it to a dealer to get checked out. However, before I hand over wodges of cash, the message infers that maybe it's as simple as a relay/fuse gone, perhaps?

Anyone know where I might find the right relay or fuse? I checked the fuse schematic in the owner's manual and nothing leaped out at me, and it has nothing at all to say about relays. I'd like to at least try changing it for the few quid it will cost before the hassle of leaving it with a dealer for the day.

Oh, and before anyone points it out, I did check the Ross Tech fault codes Wiki. This particular code is not listed, unfortunately.

Thanks in advance.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I think I've got the same issue, coupled with a coolant leak...

The CCC (Continued Coolant Circulation) relay is below the eBox.

Excuse my ignorance, but what's the ebox?

Excuse my ignorance, but what's the ebox?

It's the electrical box under the bonnet that contains fuses and a couple of relays. At the back of it are the large electrical fuse links, that lead to the alternator and other heavy current items.

Oh cool, thanks. Do you think it's likely that my coolant leak and this error code are interelated?
