Residual on the yeti should be better long term. There are loads of 1.6's about.

I went from considering a Yeti, to an Octavia... all down to boot space, price, availability and ultimately need - I thought I needed a soft roader, but in reality I didn't, glad I went for the Octy, that is not to say the Yeti may not be better for you!!!

depends on what driving you do. I had 5 different Octys before I switched to a yeti. 3 mark I and 2 x Mk II. For long journeys and when we were lugging a baby buggy the Octavia was fantastic. But now I do mainly short journeys wither in town or on B class roads. The yeti s much more fun on the twisty turny roads. I also switched to 1.2 petrol from 2.0 diesel.

As has been said yeti residuals tend to be better but it has a small boot and the aerodynamic qualities of a brick. Once you go over 60 mph the economy suffers.
