Is there a simple way to add a black roof? As in a large sticker.

The new roof racks just made a mess of the paint so I'm looking at a simple way of covering the roof up, that and the fact that I do like the black roof.

As things stand I could c-cut the scratches from the roof rack out and I suppose the clear 3m helicopter tape could provide protection to stop this from happening again.

I can't believe just how easily marked the paint is.

BTW before the rack was fitted the roof was spottlessly clean and heavily waxed.

Vinyl wrap is the answer. Have the marks gone through to the bare metal?

No the marks haven't broken the paint. The racks rubber feet have left the paint looking dull / scuffed.

I'm sure that a bit of elbow grease will work wonders. I'm just shocked at how easily marked it was though.

If its only dulled the paint you should be able to bring the life back into it with a basic polish and pad on a DA. Then re-protect with your favoured wax/sealant.
