Just popped into my local halfords to ask if they could fit a set of rear speakers.

The reply was yes sure sir, £30. +(£25 for the speakers + £10 for a speaker holder adaptor)

I know it would have worked out better value to have added the entertainment package but I bought a pretty reg car and couldn't change the spec.

I take it they know there is no wiring to the rear doors ??

I got quoted £100/£150 just for the fitting at most places.

Unfortunately skoda wouldnt add the entertainment pack to a pre reg car.

Yep, Skoda would'nt fit mine, they tried as it was ordered but came without it installed , but at the time they said there was no fitting kit available.

Im thinking of just mounting them myself, but seems like its lots of work to get the sidepanels out.

Does anyone know what size they are? 5,25 or 6 inches?

Booked my car into halfords last week to get the speakers fitted. They couldn't do it!

The speaker adapters were £35 each not £10 and wernt available. They also needed an adapter to connect the rear speakers. Again this adapter wasn't available.
