Stealth EGR Delete for the ASZ 1.9TDI Engine

Stealth EGR Delete for the ASZ 1.9TDI engine.

This is an EGR valve that has had the EGR valve mechanism removed and the remaining holes welded up, the inside of the valve has then been ground down to remove the unrequired valve areas, this is done to allow maximum air flow through the valve and stops the unwanted build up off black oily gunk in the intake system.

The EGR valve has been totally removed and the holes on both sides of the valve have been welded up, the top cap has been bonded back on and the vacuum hole blocked.

The anti-shudder valve is still fitted (as can be seen in the picture).

The welder told me that the quality of the aluminium the EGR is made from is poor and there are some small pitting/holes in the weld, these have been filled with chemical metal.

I will include a blanking plate for the pipe which goes to the exhaust should you want to fit one.

I have an identical one on my Fabia VRS, it is a straight swap for the original valve.

This EGR valve does not come with the anti-shudder valve black vacuum mechanism, it is a simple matter to fit the one from the EGR you are removing.

This EGR valve was purchased 2nd hand and so is not super clean, you could clean it before fitting or leave it as it is for the super stealth look.

Quiet a few hours work went into modifying this, removing the valve, finding a welder that would weld it up, and then a few hours grinding the unwanted aluminium away (I had not realised how hard it is to grind/sand aluminium)

Price £55 including postage or £50 if you collect
