Also fixed the rear washer thanks to previous helpful posts - tubes had separated behind carpet forward of CD changer. I glued them back together and need to clean the washer jet rear tomorrow - how does it come off? I have taken the plastic cap off and can see a large nut, do I need to undo that?

The inside of the rear wing was pi55 wet with wiring sitting in water. Reminds me of the passenger footwell of our B5 passat!

Great car so far, have had timing belt done (86k), cleaned it, paid for it and fixed this little problem, but can't drive it until 9th April as insurance starts then - I can't wait.

The jet will pull straight off, no need to use any tools.

Yeah its the nozzle that blocks, leave the rest in place. Buy a new nozzle or a long sewing needle to unblock the old one.

Don't dismantle everything. Take nozzle off, test washer with it off, should squirt a lot of water, clean or replace nozzle job done.

Thanks, that's that sorted. Glued the tube back together so hopefully no more problems there!

Drove this for the first time tonight - it is a very enjoyable drive. Ended up doing 70 miles on a variety of roads, including a lot of motorway. Seems to pull very well for a 105, car feels very light and wasn't bothered by any hills or bends that it came across. And 55mpg, 2500rpm at 80 - seems to have it all. Nice to drive a car that has no faults for a change!
