Seen on ebay you can buy an armest for my vrs! Has anybody had 1? Any good? And will it just fit straight on?

If you get a genuine one for an Octavia or a Mk 4 Golf you should have no problems. The Golf one has a different bracket which needs a slight modification though.

I put a mk4 golf one on mine from eBay,got it cheap with no mounting bracket then bought the bracket from skoda and trimmed the golf plastics to fit and the re covered the arm rest lid

Love having the armrest on long journeys, the extra storage is a bonus too

I have to say that the standard one fitted to my 02 elegance was the worst arm rest ever! Either down and it was in the way stopping you get to the handbrake or when I put it up I constantly hit my elbow on it when changing gear . Just my 2p worth

Yet to me it's one of my best mods lol, got the knack of pulling up the hand brake without catching it, never have it up so don't catch my elbow lol

I guess it might not help that I'm 6ft 8 and have very long arms but I really did not get on with the one in my Mk 1 Octy but love the one in my new FL Mk2 Octy and find it really comfortable.

Mind you my wife hates it and after she has my car I nearly fall into the passenger seat trying to rest my elbow lol

My wife hates them as well but she chooses to drive a Fiat Punto so I dont really think her opinion counts!
