n75 upgrade

Featured Replies

Has anyone up graded there n75 valve on a 51 octavia vrs been told about j and h valves just wondering the advantages

The N75J gives boost lower down and more aggresive. Dont think you get more boost just adjusts when it kicks in. Most reccomend to stick with the F version which is the updated std valve

I thought the n75h did that and the n75j kept the boost longer???

The N75H is the 'ECS' race valve. As far as i know both these valves just give a bigger boost spike lower down then boost tails off quicker. Most people who go for the J go back to the std valve. Some people love the J valve, depends how you drive i guess......

if your putting the J on get it mapped for it, but with mapping the std valve can be made to do the same.

the J valve is off really old audis. it basically overboosts the motor. it retards the signals going to the ecu so doesn't open the waste gate or dv as early as the std one.

made my car run like poo!

std all the way

Running ECS race valve on mine (N75H)

Run this with my mapped car with yellow DV spring. Works better on mine than the STD N75.

Does it hold the boost longer or is it just more aggressive ??

more aggressive and also cuts out the hesitation i had with the STD valve

Sweet just what i want

Might start thinking about uprating fuel pressure reg and pump then a big remap:)

Don't really need to upgrade those item's for remap, but will give you more options.

I have a walbro high pressure one and about to fit a 4Bar FPR and may get LCR injectors then yet another tweak to my map....

Let me know how you get on thats what i am hoping to do

i fitted a 4 bar FPR a few days ago, makes a difference from the standard 3 bar, more responsive when you put your foot down and seems to accelerate a bit better, i am liking it!!!

And this is on a standard car ?

it will because it is putting a lot more fuel in than its sposed to.

Be careful with this as I think it will put pressure on your injectors, I heard fitting a 4Bar the car needs mapping to compensate the extra fuel through the rail and injectors. could be wrong though.and perhaps ECU deals with it. I had a 4Bar fpr fitted when i had a REVO stage 2.

Now have shark map that use 3bar fpr, but will be tweaking this further.

I was going to get it mapped up to stage 2 ill have a word with the chap who will be doing it to see what he thinks

It's been mapped, when you do give it the beans it uses a lot of fuel but I find if you drive normally it is very good on fuel

I don't think it puts stress on the injectors as they will cope with 4 bar ne probs. its a way of getting more fuel in. the ECU controls the time the injectors are open and the more preasure behind them means more fuel goes thru. that's all so the ecu is programmed for a 3 bar like std so it is opening the injectors for say a second as it thinks its sending in say 10cc of fuel in that time with the 3car of preasure where actually its sending in 15cc of fuel as you have a 4 bar FPR.

I don't know the actual figures that's just an eg.

basically its overfueling. the ECU will be able to adjust to an extent but it wont sort it out correctly hence why you need it mapping for the FPR.
