Featured Replies

Has anyone managed to use the AV input into the columbus head unit?

What do i need?

How do i do it?

Is it plug and play?

AV is greyed out when dvd menu is open.

How do i activate the AV, where do i plug in?

If i have do get unit out how do i do this?

On Page 32 of my owner manual

Additional function keys in the video DVD menu

AV - Changes over to a connected external video source*.

Question........

Where do i plug in the external video device into the Columbus unit??

Is there a hidden AV in socket hiding in the glove box or some where else?

Aux advises audio only so can not be that?

Any suggestions on where i plug in or am i missing something?

There are no AV sockets hidden anwhere, and adding a generic AV input is not straight forward either. There is no direct AV input on the columbus, its all done via canbus. You need to get an external AV interface and adapter loom, and these are not cheap.

Here is one such example from the USA.

Was hoping to plug in my rear view camera this way? So does that mean no av input is possible as per manual?
