Address change

Featured Replies

I'm in a slightly confusing situation by the moment. My car is registered on the logbook and insurance to my current rented accommodation, where I've been living for over a year and will be for at least another year.

Now my billing address is still at my parents' house about 60 miles away where and birth / legal stuff such as national insurance, banking address and my driving license.

So anyway, is it going to cause me any issues having my license registered elsewhere to the car? I spend enough time here and am still a resident in the household, I just happen to be renting elsewhere (as I'm a student). I've heard it can be a 1000 pound fine for not updating my details, but having two addresses I'm just finding it all confusing now :(

Cost you £35 to change details insurance approx, dvla don't charge but you need to change your details

Importantly the Insurance Company will want to know your Main Residence

or where the vehicle mainly is parked at, Daytime and Over night.

I like someone elses address on my Driving License, V5, Insurance.

A police Officer asked why because its Illegal.

I pointed Out that if i am in a Fatal Accident,

there is no point coming to my Door to tell me that i am dead.
