poor brakes

Featured Replies

ive got a march 62 plate octavia vrs,i bought this brand new and has only coverd 1750 miles from new to today, thing is the front front brakes are all scored and the car really feels as if it will not stop at speeds, now my question is surly the brakes should not be marked on this milage and lads this car is tret perfectly, will warrenty cover this whats your thoughts

Sounds like a stone or something is stuck in between the pad and disk to cause the scoring or maybe a faulty pad. You could try the dealer and see what they say but if it is a stone, they may charge you. As its the brakes, get it checked asap to minimise further scoring and the chance of an accident.

Is there a grinding noise when you brake? That would be a sign that you have a stone. If not it could be that with your low mileage that is causing the issue.
