Assuming mine is the same as that ebay one (£97 quid, new) i'd be happy with 50 quid. Not sure how to check if its 100% the right one for your car though.. sorry.

Mike, I just realised that you said your original 54 reg Elegance Hatchback had a minimum CCM.

Unless I am mistaken, I believe that Elegance model comes with remote lock? May I ask whether you had a remote lock for it? If so, I might just be able to programme the remote with my existing CCM or does the different minimum CCM are different in capability?

If its of any use to you i'm just about to remove my OE wiper/cruise stalk from my 2012 vRS. The oe vrs stalks come with a toggle switch on the wiper arm to control the mfd which i don't need now as i have a retro-fit mfsw, so i'm replacing it with a stalk without the mfd toggle switch.

Not 100% sure of the part number until i get it off the car but i *think* its the same as this one:

So I would guess that it doesn't work, as you can't get in the adaption channels how are you even going to try it

Stick with the one I linked as any older versions are superceded by the AK anyway.
